The protective limit for PM10 is the National Ambient Air Quality Standard of 150 micrograms per cubic meter (150 µg/m3).  This standard was set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency as a national standard that is protective for the public and the environment after scientific studies as well as review and comment from members of the public.
